With school and real life, I don't have a lot of time or energy to keep up with a large friends list, so I won't automatically add everyone who friends me. Also, unless I already know you from somewhere else, I don't add empty journals.

Um..but..I feel like you do on the friend thing. I find myself becoming close to people with fandom as a gateway, but to me, that's just a way to get to know them. I don't treat my journal as just a flail-space. <3
