ATTENTION MINNESOTA FANGIRLS

We did this two years ago and thought it would be fun to have another JE fanmeet at the Como Park Japanese Lantern Lighting Festival. :D

WHERE: Como Zoo Conservatory (directions / map)
WHEN: Sunday, August 15. The gates open at 3:00 pm with the lantern-lighting around sunset.
COST: $5 to enter, plus additional money if you want to buy food or other things

I'm tentatively planning on having everyone meet shortly after it opens, around 3-3:30ish maybe? However, parking that day is insane, so it's a good idea to arrive about a half an hour early. I think the easiest place to meet would be in front of the Visitor's Center (map). I'll be the crazy girl with the Sho uchiwa. :Db The entrance to the festival itself is in front of the conservatory building. If you can't arrive until later in the day, message me. I can give you my cell number so we can connect once you arrive. :)

There will probably be time to just hang out and chat, so bring along any magazines/photobooks/goods to pass around and fangirl over. :D

Comment here or at the Facebook event if you're planning on coming so I can get a rough count on how many people to expect. Or leave a comment if I'm forgetting something because I probably am. XD;

I might come to this. It would be definite if I actually had my own means of transportation, but I do not. Also I'm not really sure since I only like NEWS/TegoMass and would possibly be out of place.

I'm glad someone decided to do a fan meet though. I tried to a few years ago but never followed through with it.

Depending on where you live, I (and others) might be able to give rides to and from the festival. (Though if you feel uncomfortable getting into a car with a stranger, I totally understand. XD;) We have fans of ALL groups within the current group of fangirls. I started out as a NEWS fan before I went to the dark side of fangirling other groups as well. ;)

Our fanmeet two years ago was a lot of fun. :D

Which issue? Being a fan of only one group? A lot of us have one main group we are fans of, but of the girls I know, we have fans of pretty much each and every group. :D

I was really nervous for my first fanmeet, but we're all really friendly and nice. :D And you're more than welcome to bring a friend, even if they're not into JE. XD
